[CCMG-Announce] Idea Garden Accessibility Update

Dear Master Gardeners -

Sandy and I were told that contractors are expected to pour concrete this week for both the sidewalk and the beginning portions of parking lot. With these major additions to the garden, it is our priority to refrain from working in the garden. At this time, we ask that all gardening activity and visits to the Idea Garden cease. While I know the garden is of our upmost importance, it is the contractors priority to keep all visitors and pedestrians safe. Therefore, whenever there are people working and wandering in the garden, we are inhibiting their progress. After 8 long years of working towards completing this project, it would be tragic to have it further delayed due to traffic.

Therefore, for the remainder of the Accessibility Project construction (which is expected to last for a total of 6 weeks), we ask that all garden-related work cease until construction is finished and finalized. I understand your concern as gardeners for the health and maintenance of the plants, but our greatest concern is for your health and safety.
