[CCMG-Announce] Proposed By-law Changes

Dear Master Gardeners,


At its October meeting, the Advisory Committee recommendedmaking some minor revisions of its by-laws. The proposed changes were unanimously supported.  Attached is a pdf file with the proposedchanges highlighted in red.  We ask thatyou review the changes and that you are prepared to vote on them at the AnnualBusiness meeting Nov. 17. The first change is in Article V, Section 1.  It allows two years to complete theinternship.  It also goes from specific languageof how the 60 hours of internship are to be served to a broader languageallowing Sandy and Ava flexibility to make that determination based on theneeds of our Unit.


The second change is in Article VI, Section 1b.  It removes the requirement that theVice-President chair the Office Operations Committee.  Similarly, the language is modified inArticle VII, Section 7, removing the phrase “chaired by the Vice President.”


The final proposed change is in Article IX, eliminatingSection 2, and then renumbering the remaining sections.  The publication requirement is no longernecessary since the nominations committee has been changed from an appointed adhoc committee to a standing committee of Leadership Development andNominations.
