making some minor revisions of its by-laws.
The proposed changes were unanimously supported. Attached is a pdf file with the proposed
changes highlighted in red. We ask that
you review the changes and that you are prepared to vote on them at the Annual
Business meeting Nov. 17. It allows two years to complete the
internship. It also goes from specific language
of how the 60 hours of internship are to be served to a broader language
allowing Sandy and Ava flexibility to make that determination based on the
needs of our Unit.<o:p id="yui_3_16_0_1_1444690195166_4074" class=""></o:p></div><div class="" id="yui_3_16_0_1_1444690195166_4072"><br></div><div class="" id="yui_3_16_0_1_1444690195166_4076">The second change is in Article VI, Section 1b. It removes the requirement that the
Vice-President chair the Office Operations Committee. Similarly, the language is modified in
Article VII, Section 7, removing the phrase “chaired by the Vice President.”<o:p id="yui_3_16_0_1_1444690195166_4078" class=""></o:p></div><div class="" id="yui_3_16_0_1_1444690195166_4076"><br></div><div class="" id="yui_3_16_0_1_1444690195166_4080">The final proposed change is in Article IX, eliminating
Section 2, and then renumbering the remaining sections. The publication requirement is no longer
necessary since the nominations committee has been changed from an appointed ad
hoc committee to a standing committee of Leadership Development and
