Research Opportunity: Adults (60+) caring for people with dementia needed for research study
Researchers from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign are conducting a research study to obtain feedback from care partners about a social engagement program delivered through a video technology platform called OneClick. Participants in this study will first complete a set of questionnaires online about basic demographics, role as a caregiver, social networks, and general wellbeing. This session will be completed in a one-on-one session online and is expected to take 60 minutes. Subsequently, participants will be invited to join a focus group discussion on OneClick in which they will have an opportunity to engage in conversations with three or more care partners of persons with dementia. During the focus group, participants will be presented with a video demonstration of the social engagement program and then be given an opportunity to provide feedback about the various aspects of the program. The feedback provided by the participants will be utilized to modify the program to meet the needs and preferences of family care partners. Participants will be compensated for their participation.
