This campaign seeks to have the State of Illinois demonstrate a new level of commitment to supporting Illinois’ rapidly aging population, families and caregivers, and equitable aging across the life course.

Part of this campaign is our Illinois Aging Together Policy Academy. We are asking you to forward and share this opportunity with your community. There are currently three Academies scheduled:

•       October 22nd and 29th (Fridays 9-10:30AM). The Academy is comprised of two 90-minute sessions, integrating technical information with group discussion. This is an excellent opportunity for learning, advocacy, and networking for individuals with personal and professional interest in aging equity and can accommodate diverse levels of experience and knowledge.

This educational opportunity is for interested individuals to discover more about trends in aging in Illinois and to learn how to describe these trends through social and health equity lenses. It is a cross sector endeavor and not limited to or by subject areas. Attendees will learn how to apply this knowledge in advocacy settings while gaining the tools they need to effectively engage in the Illinois Aging Together campaign as an ambassador. This Academy is hosted by Health & Medicine Policy Research Group and its Center for Long Term Care Reform.
