[SeniorTaskForce-News] May Hybrid Senior Task Force Meeting

Good Evening,

Our next meeting of the Senior Task Force will be Wednesday, May 19th at 9:10am.  We will be receiving updates from both current STF projects, will discuss other project proposals, and will do COVID/General Updates.

As a reminder, we are trying out a hybrid meeting this month.  At least for May, we decided that logistically and ethically we would like to reserve the limited in-person space for individuals that cannot join the meeting virtually. Especially with our intention of welcoming more older adults and community members to the group, we felt this would be the best first step toward in-person meetings. Please spread the word to older adults and others interested in aging issues in your circles that might want to get involved. We welcome their input! Senior Task Force believes in “Nothing about us without us!”

We have a limited number of in-person spaces due to COVID restrictions. For those unable to join virtually, please call Family Service Senior Resource Center at 217-352-5100 to reserve your spot. This will help us make sure we have a space for everyone that attends in person. Please note that the library does require that masks be worn at all times while in the library. The library opens at 9:00am, and the meeting will start at 9:10am.

For everyone else, below is the Zoom link for the May meeting. If anyone with virtual capabilities would prefer to bring a laptop and headphones to the library and camp out in the café area or another open space in the library in order to do some pre- or post-meeting catching up in person, you are more than welcome to do so! 😊
