[SeniorTaskForce-News] Fall Activity Box Pilot Project

Hi, Everyone!

I wanted to share this flyer with you so that you can share it with your networks.  If you know any adults age 60+ that are living in a home setting (independent living) that could use more engagement in their lives, please let them know about this opportunity. The first pilot session was overwhelmingly positively received. Many participants found that they picked up dormant, creative hobbies; started a journaling or creative practice; connected with others more; and added more movement into their lives!  Some participants found that having a project improved their mental wellness, especially during a pandemic. We are excited to carry out a second session of this pilot!

Space will be limited, so send your referrals to me sooner rather than later. You can send me names and phone numbers so that I can have a caseworker reach out to do the intake. You can also encourage people to call the Family Service Senior Resource Center at 217-352-5100 to register.
