Good Afternoon,

Our next meeting of the Senior Task Force will be Wednesday, January 20th, at 9:09 a.m. Instructions for how to join this virtual meeting are listed below. Our agenda this month will include:

Updates from the STF Television Committee, Update on the local Reducing Social Isolation Committee; COVID Updates/Topics to Focus on Moving Forward; and General Updates

As the STF and the Reducing Social Isolation Committee continue to tackle the question of how to address the social isolation of older adults in our community, STF is open to new topics that members find to be essential issues to address. With the landscape of the COVID-19 pandemic shifting again due to the emerging availability of vaccinations, how can we best support older adults?

CALL FOR IDEAS: If you have broadcasting ideas to share with the STF Television Committee, please add them to the google doc. You will notice that it has been organized into three tabs: 1)  New content (that would need to be filmed); 2) Already filmed content; and 3) General interest topics to film (think PSAs for older adults):  https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1IE5s5FcX6jjRC0d09Hgk2FZdDbT3jjl_yDeCyfi5JWM/edit?usp=sharing

Anyone with other updates relevant to the group will be given a chance to present in a brief round robin. We will decide how the group would like to move forward and if new topics would like to be pursued.

As always, all are welcome in this conversation.  We can only tackle these large issues if we work together and cast a wider net of professionals and community members. Feel free to share this meeting invitation with others. If you have ideas for how to bring more voices, especially underrepresented voices, to the table, please let me know!
