RESEARCH COORDINATOR POSITION

The Department of Kinesiology and Community Health (KCH) in the College of Applied Health Sciences (AHS) seeks a part-time Research Coordinator (20 hours per week). This person will assist with a federally funded collaborative research project in the Human Factors and Aging Laboratory (Director: Dr. Wendy Rogers) and the Aging and Neurocognition Laboratory (Director: Dr. Raksha Mudar). Activities include study coordination, participant recruitment, monitoring a clinical trial, supervision and training of research assistants, summary data analysis, report preparation, and other research-related tasks.   (Pay is commensurate with experience and education. )

Responsibilities:
Research
*         Recruit, screen, and schedule participants for data collection
*         Coordinate the day-to-day organization of research study, including coordinating multiple teams, planning team meetings, and preparing materials
*         Assistance with preparation and maintenance of IRB protocols
*         Coordinate procedures and policies, ensure that standard protocols are followed, update study manuals, and keep track of certifications of team members
*         Assist with annual reports, registering, and managing a clinical trial
*         Assist with data collection and database management
*         Assist with research-related events
*         Other related duties as assigned

Requirements:
Education
*         Required: Bachelor's degree in psychology, gerontology, health, human factors, public health, or other field related to the position.
*         Preferred: Master's degree in a related area.
Experience
*         Required: 1+ year experience working in a research lab, conducting research with human subjects, working on team-based projects, using Microsoft Office, and knowledge about research methods
*         Preferred: 1+ year experience working on a clinical trial, CITI and HIPAA certified, knowledge about older adults and clinical trials, experience with using Box, and interest working with clinical populations
Other
*         Highly organized
*         Flexible schedule
*         Ability to travel regionally as needed
