Good Morning,

Our next meeting of the Senior Task Force will be Wednesday, October 21st, at 9:09 a.m. Instructions for how to join this virtual meeting are listed below. Our topic this month is:

Tackling Social Isolation

It became clear through our discussion last week that across disciplines we are all concerned about the social isolation of older adults, including its effects on their physical and mental health. With the conflation of COVID-19, the fall/winter seasons, the holidays, and flu season, this issue hit the top of our list to tackle.  As you can see from the September notes (see attached), we brainstormed a lot of different solutions. Anyone who has attempted to implement any of the solutions or has been researching solutions will give updates. Anyone with other updates relevant to the group will be given a chance to present in a brief round robin. We will then decide on next steps and assign responsibilities to move forward.

As always, all are welcome in this conversation.  We can only tackle these large issues if we work together and cast a wider net of professionals and community members. Feel free to share this meeting invitation with others.
