Hello Julie,

I hope that all is going well on your end!

One of our collaborators at Georgia Tech (we work with them on various projects and research centers) is recruiting for a completely remote research project.   Are you able to distribute this to the Senior Task Force list to have sent out to their networks?


Georgia Tech researchers are looking for volunteers to participate in a study about people’s experiences helping others set up smart home technologies. If you are 18 years of age and above and you have helped a friend or family member set up smart home technologies (e.g. Amazon Alexa, smart thermostat, Ring doorbell), you may be eligible to participate. If you are interested in being a part of this research, you would talk to a Georgia Tech researcher over video conference systems (similar to Skype) about a new kind of video that may be helpful in helping you maintain and troubleshoot smart home technology in your helpee’s home. If you decide to participate, you would video call with a Georgia Tech researcher for no more than 1 hour. You would need a computer that can stream video to participate in this study. There are two different sessions that you may participate in, if you wish, or you can participate in only one session. You would earn $20 for each hour you participate in the study.
