Good Evening,

Our next meeting of the Senior Task Force will be Wednesday, December 16th, at 9:09 a.m. Instructions for how to join this virtual meeting are listed below. Our topic this month continues to be:

Tackling Social Isolation

It became clear through our previous discussions that across disciplines we are all concerned about the social isolation of older adults, including its effects on their physical and mental health. With the conflation of COVID-19, the fall/winter seasons, the holidays, and flu season, this issue hit the top of our list to tackle.

Since our November meeting we have formed a television committee to move this project forward. The committee will have updates as will Julie on other projects that have been discussed. Anyone with other updates relevant to the group will be given a chance to present in a brief round robin. We will decide how the group would like to move forward and if new topics would like to be pursued.

As always, all are welcome in this conversation.  We can only tackle these large issues if we work together and cast a wider net of professionals and community members. Feel free to share this meeting invitation with others. If you have ideas for how to bring more voices, especially underrepresented voices, to the table, please let me know!
