Good Afternoon, Everyone!

Our next meeting of the Senior Task Force will be Wednesday, August 19th, at 9:09 a.m. Instructions for how to join this virtual meeting are listed below.  Our topic this month is:


COVID-19: What Issue to Tackle First?

We established last meeting that it is beneficial as providers to continue meeting monthly and providing updates on our services. We are so appreciative to everyone that has been coming to the meetings! I know I enjoy seeing everyone’s faces (and I promise this month you will be able to see mine) 😊 As we get deeper into this pandemic, we need to start creating action plans to partner and tackle issues such as:


  1.  Social isolation, mental health, and quality of life of our area older adults
     *   Providing meaningful engagements and connections
  2.  Adapting the community and its services to allow for a safe reintegration into the community (whenever that may be possible)
  3.  Supporting family caregivers at home with their care recipients
  4.  Others?

Now is the time to get creative and be proactive. After a brief, round table opportunity to share the status of your agencies, services, or neighborhoods, we will discuss which issue to focus on first and what process to follow to address it.

It bears repeating that this is a crucial time for folks from all different arenas (including community members) to come together and plan. Feel free to share the meeting invitation with others.
