At yesterday's meeting, we decided to add another dimension to the meetings.  During meetings when there is only one scheduled speaker, we will use the last half of the meeting for a round table discussion of a topic of interest.  These topics may be as diverse as Worst Staff Time Wasters to Available Residential Options for Seniors to Unmet Needs of Older Adults to Handling Office Politics - as long as the topic is relevant to seniors and/or those providing services to seniors.

If you have a topic that you would like to add, please send it to either Patrick (Patrick.Harness at healthalliance.org<mailto:Patrick.Harness at healthalliance.org>) or myself.  Patrick will choose a topic for those meetings with only one speaker and I will add it to the agenda so that, when I send out the meeting notice with the agenda in it, you will know both parts of the agenda (speaker and round table topic).  Months when there are two speakers, there will not be a round table discussion.

There is an incredible amount of expertise at these meetings and this is another way for us to use that experience.  Also, you may have other ideas for smaller workgroup efforts and those ideas should be sent to us for discussion as well.   Note:  This will not an opportunity to complain, market, or promote.  Patrick has seen this work in other venues and suggested it for the Task Force.  I, also, think it could be beneficial.

We will, of course, continue to provide an opportunity monthly for short announcements of interest to the group.

For those of you not at the July meeting, this is your notice that there will, as usual, be NO MEETING IN AUGUST.
