Good morning-
I wanted to let you know that Kathleen Holden will again be our guest at the September 16th Senior Task Force meeting. A colleague of hers recently took the opportunity to talk to the group at Portland State which shepherded the initiative for the successful WHO Age Friendly designation for the city of Portland. Kathleen (and maybe her colleague) will be talking about those findings and discussing next steps. I think many of you will want to attend.
In the meantime, Kathleen has asked that you contact her with any questions, suggestions, or concerns that you might have about Champaign-Urbana's Age Friendly effort. Her email is kholden at illinois.edu<mailto:kholden at illinois.edu>
Also, remember that we set up an open listserv separate from this one and specific to the Age Friendly initiative through which you can share your ideas and questions with others interested in the project. The email for that is stf-age-friendly at lists.communitylists.org<mailto:stf-age-friendly at lists.communitylists.org>
Looking forward to seeing you in September.
