Mike O'Donnell at the Area Agency on Aging shared with me the enclosed
letter.  It encourages Senator Durbin to support the Older Americans Act
programs under the FY 2011 Labor-HHS-Education appropriations bill.

 

Folks, the Older Americans Act is critical in its support of all of us
who are getting older and all of our families (many families of older
adults do some help/caregiving).  I encourage you to give serious
consideration to using this sample letter to let Senator Durbin know
that you strongly encourage him to support the appropriations necessary
to keep the Older Americans Act alive and healthy.

 

Send your letter as an attachment in an email addressed to Mayra
Alvarez.  The letters need to be sent right away.  Her email address is
