[SeniorTaskForce-News] Volunteers Needed TOMORROW

Hello there,

Can you join us tomorrow, October 25th, any hour or more of your time
between 4-7pm at the Campaign for Better Health Care's Champaign office?  We
want to make turnout calls to the Peoria area for a new development that
just happened.  Our calls will be about picketing this event and having a
press conference.

The new development:
Rep. Schock, who has opposed all current legislation for health care reform,
is having a press conference at 9:30am.  Below is a link to his bill-- in
reading this we believe that it takes direct aim to deny the federal
government from implementing a public option, may make it impossible for the
federal government to effectively run medicaid, medicare, CHIP, etc- and
such consumer protections as HIPPA and evidence based medical care.  Yet- it
seems to solidify the control of the health insurance industry to decide
benefits that will be covered or NOT covered and to control health care
providers practice.
