May is Older Americans Month. The theme the Administration on Aging
chose for this year is :
<http://www.aoa.gov/PRESS/Observances/oam/oam.aspx>
The AOA web site says:
May is Older Americans Month
2009
Each year the Administration on Aging (AoA) issues a theme for Older
Americans Month to assist our National Aging Services Network of state,
tribal, area agencies on aging, and community services providers plan
for activities that might take place in May or throughout the year. This
year's theme "Living Today for a Better Tomorrow" reflects AoA's
continued focus on prevention efforts and programs throughout the
country that are helping older adults have better health as they age and
avoid the risks of chronic disease, disability and injury.
Are any of you aware of any Older Americans Month activities going on in
this area in May?
Thanks.
