Many of you attended the annual public hearing of the East Central Illinois Area Agency on Aging (Area Agency) at the library last year. You made a difference. You showed the Area Agency that the citizens of Champaign County are interested in issues that take into account that we’re all growing older every day (whether we like to admit it or not!). They were impressed with the interest shown by Champaign County citizens. I encourage you to attend again this year. Note that the date for the Champaign public hearing is April 27th at 1:30 at the Champaign Library.

What does the Area Agency on Aging do?

The AAA is a regional non-profit organization serving:

         - persons 60 years of age & older

The AAA works for older adults by:

             - assessing their needs & developing programs accordingly

              - administering federal & state funds in support of community-based services
