<p class="MsoNormal">I am very excited to join the horticulture team here at U of I Extension in Champaign! Although I just started last week, I have already had the opportunity to meet a handful of you. I look forward to meeting all of you and seeing more
of the great things that you all do. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">If we haven’t met yet, here is little bit of information about me…. My background is primarily in arboriculture and forestry. Prior to joining extension, I was the Area Forester for the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), covering
the southern 30 counties of Illinois. At NRCS, I worked with private landowners to help them make decisions about how to manage their forest land. I also have experience working with steam and wetland restoration at NRCS and other private companies. For
five years, I worked as an arborist right here in Champaign, providing all aspects of residential tree care including everything from insect/disease diagnosis to pruning and removal of large shade trees to tree planting and the care of newly planted trees.
I hope to bring this diversity of experience, along with my love for teaching and learning, to all the great programs here at Extension.<o:p></o:p></p>
