<p>The Museum of the Grand Prairie's fall event, Harvest Fest, is coming up on Saturday, October 15th from 2:00-6:00 pm. We are looking for volunteers to help supervise activity stations and help with set up and tear down. In the table below I have listed the activities needing volunteers below, as well as their location and the volunteer times. If there is a particular station volunteers are interested, I will happily send them more information and instructions directly.</p>

<p>The volunteer shift times include coming 30 minutes early for instructions and light set-up, as well as 30 minutes at the end for clean-up. The last hour of the program will be storytelling, so our activity stations will end at 5. </p>
<p>We will also have cider and donuts for volunteers to munch on to get in the fall spirit! This is a great opportunity to get volunteer hours, and is also an excellent way to get to know our community a little bit better. <p>INHS Herbarium is hosting coming up this October: the 2nd annual Worldwide Engagement for Digitzing Biocollections (WeDigBio) Transcription Event. Building on the success from last year, we hope to double the transcription goal this year and make more information from plant, insect, fish, fungi, and fossil specimens available to the public. This is a worldwide event with 40 institutions across the globe participating. flier for the event is attached. Great event for Master Gardeners and Master Naturalist. </p>
