The program is free and open to the public and will be held at the Champaign County Extension office at 801 N. Country Fair Drive, Champaign. Participants are welcome to bring their own sack lunches to enjoy during the presentation. </p>
<p>Jana was a participant on Dianne Noland's, host of Mid-American Gardener, German Gardens tour that occurred July 5-13. Jana will share incredible pictures and descriptions of the featured magnificent gardens. Some of the stops of the trip included Prince Bishops Palace, Veitshoecheim's Rococo Garden, Bavarian Wine and Garden Institute and much more! Come for a brief escape from the flatlands of Central Illinois for majestic Eastern Europe. </p>

<p>The University of Illinois Sustainable Student Farm and Woody Perennial Polyculture project will hose on open house on <strong>Friday, September 11 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.</strong> The location is south of Windsor on Lincoln (where Lincoln turns into a gravel road). The program is free and open to the public.</p>
<p>The Dining Services will be serving Delicious and FREE food and drink prepared from SSF produce. The Sustainable Student Farm, the Woody Perennial Polyculture Project and the U of I Community Garden Plots will be giving tours, The Fresh Press will have information booths, and perhaps some paper making demos.</p>

<p>The Illinois Organic Growers Association will be hosting bike-to-farm tour event this fall in Champaign County. Take a ride through 7 organic farms <strong>(one being Prosperity Gardens!)</strong> and experience the beautiful views of the countryside, enjoy fresh food and meet the farmers behind it all. Increasing your knowledge about organic and sustainable agricultural practices is just another added benefit. There are 3 different tours to suite riders of all ages and abilities: a 6 mile ride, a 30 mile ride, and a 60 mile ride. A farm meal, water breaks and farm snacks, farm activities, and an even t-shirt are all included in the ride.</p>

We continue to monitor the distribution of BMSB in Illinois as well is its progression into a nuisance pest in homes and a pest of crops in Illinois. </p>
