Dear Master Gardeners,

For those interested in attending services for David, I wanted to clarify that Owens Funeral Home will conduct the services but are waiting for the family to arrive to make/announce the final plans. David's family live out of town and have been traveling a fair amount this winter, thus the delay.

Dear Master Gardeners,

In the News-Gazette yesterday, you may have read that David Harley passed away. No arrangements have been made yet, but Owens Funeral Home is handling things. A notice will be sent through the listserv as soon as arrangements are clarified.

David graduated from the Master Gardener class in 2008. David was retired from the University of Illinois. As a Master Gardener, David spent a lot of time working in the Roses at the Idea Garden. He was also a certified pesticide applicator and very talented at the identifying insects.

This is both a loss for our Master Gardener community as well as the Champaign-Urbana community.
