[CCMG-Announce] New Email List System

Dear Master Gardeners,

For many years, our email lists (CCMG-Announce and CCMGOL) have been maintained entirely by our beloved Listmom, Karen Fletcher.  In recent years, the email lists at University of Illinois, College of ACES have advanced to include all the features of CCMG-Announce and CCMGOL.  To alleviate some of Karen's workload and migrate our email lists into a University-ran system, we have decided to make the switch to College of Aces email lists.

Karen, thank you so much for all your work on the Master Gardener email lists over the years!!  Your dedication to keeping us connected has been an integral part of the Champaign County Master Gardener program and we greatly appreciate all your efforts.

Our new email lists, through U of I College of ACES are active and have been populated with all the email addresses from our old lists. In a few minutes, I will send an email to everyone subscribed to the Old Lists via the New Lists.  This email will contain information about how to post to the new list and the guidelines for using the list.  Please contact me (rcpankau at illinois.edu<mailto:rcpankau at illinois.edu>) or Tabitha (tabitae at illinois.edu<mailto:tabitae at illinois.edu>) directly if you do not receive a message from the new list (or lists if you subscribe to both CCMGOL and CCMG-Announce).

The new lists will effectively replace our old lists.  Therefore, the old lists will be disabled in the near future, once we ensure the transition has went smoothly.  There will, no doubt, be some growing pains as we adapt to the new system.
