[CCMG-Announce] Accessibility Project Celebration at Idea Garden

Master Gardners,

We need several more volunteers to help at the Accessibilty Project Celebration as greeters.  Your role will be to greet guests as they arrive, answer any questions, and direct them to seating, food, etc.  Please let me know if you are willing to help.

We'll need you to show up around 3:30 at the Idea Garden on Thursday.  Your duties will be completed once all guests have arrived and the program begins at 5:00. Thanks in advance to any willing volunteers!

Hello CCMG's,

This year, after nearly eight years of dreaming, planning, and fundraising, the Champaign Master Gardener Idea Garden has taken a major step in accessibility.

The Accessibility Project required thousands of dollars contributed by gracious supporters, as well as hundreds of volunteer hours in planning and executing each portion of the project.

To show our gratitude towards the supporters of the Idea Garden Accessibility Project, University of Illinois Extension will be hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony at the Idea Garden (S Lincoln Ave, Urbana) on August 31 from 4-6 p.m. We invite all current and prior Champaign County Master Gardeners to attend and celebrate this occasion with us.

Come tour the Idea Garden, mingle with Master Gardeners, and enjoy live music. Chancellor Robert Jones, Dean Kim Kidwell, and many more will speak about the project and what it means to our community. Refreshments will be served.
