[CCMG-Announce] Plant Request - Donations for Thomas Paine Elementary

[Heap, Ava Marie]

Master Gardeners have been approached by Thomas Paine Elementary, Urbana, to donate plants for their outdoor classroom. Their garden will have 2 main directions: 1) sensory garden 2) vegetable garden. Currently, they are seeking these plants:

Feather top/Fountain Grass
Thyme
Nasturtium
Sage, Pineapple Sage
Fig
Japanese painted fern
Alliums
Sage
Lilac
Chocolate cosmos
Lemon grass
Hyacinth
Bamboo
Pigsqueak
Northern Sea Oats
Grapes
Blueberry bushes

They currently have some plants such as spearmint, lemon balm, lambs ear, chives, parsley, borage, tomatoes, lettuce, carrots, etc.

For more information on the garden and its purpose, please read the attached donation letter.

Anyone who is able to donate can contact Jaimee at 512-529-9152. She is willing/able to pick up plants locally as well.
