Landscaping for Bird Habitat
Tuesday, May 17 at 7 p.m.

The Champaign County Master Gardeners will welcome Tara Beveroth Tuesday, May 17 to discuss Landscaping for Bird Habitat. This program is free and open to the public. Beveroth's presentation will begin at 7 p.m. at the Champaign Extension office at 801 N. Country Fair Drive. Please join us for an exciting evening on how we can cater to the birds by providing welcoming, nutritious gardens.

Beveroth graduated from Western Illinois University with a M.S. degree in Biology in 2003. From there, she went to work with American Woodcock in Norther Wisconsin. She began working with the Illinois Natural History Survey in 2004. Since working for INHS, she has worked on numerous research projects, almost all relating to birds. She is currently working with the Critical Trends Assessment Program which involves assessing forests, grasslands, and wetlands throughout the state for plants, birds, arthropods, and aquatic life. She also organizes two statewide bird programs: the Monitoring of Owls and Nightjars (MOON) and Illinois Spring Bird Count (SBC).
