[CCMG-Announce] Deadline for Nominations for Master Gardener Awards- February 5

Hello fellow Master Gardeners,

My first official act as new Chair of the Membership Committee is a happy one --to remind you of the upcoming Deadline for the two special awards we now give every year.  They are the "Making a Difference Award" and the "Friend of a Master Gardener Award". The deadline for nominations is Friday, February 5th.  The Awards will be given at the Awards Night and Design Program in the Extension Auditorium on Tuesday, February 16th, beginning at 6 p.m.

The first of these honors one (or more) of our number, a Master Gardener(s) who has contributed significantly above and beyond the call of duty to the MG Program in any of its manifestations.  The second honors someone or a business or organization, not a Master Gardener, who has made unusual and significant contributions to the Program.

It is one of the ways that we pay tribute to those whose efforts we recognize as having been extra-ordinary.  We all make important contributions to the overall success of the Program AND we know there are some who go several steps further than the rest of us  I encourage you to take the time to nominate those you think are deserving.
