Science & Wellness Night - Leal Elementary School
Friday, April 29, from 6:15 p.m-8:00 p.m.
I am in need of one more Master Gardener!
Master Gardeners have been asked to assist Leal Elementary School in Urbana to assist providing information to families on how to grow/start their own vegetable gardens. Leal is hosting a Science and Wellness night on Friday, April 29 from 6 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Master Gardeners will be passing out vegetable seeds to interested families, and possibly provide advice on starting vegetables at home. The school was given over 300 heirloom seed packets and teachers and families have also donated many. Their goal is that to share the seeds with anyone who needs them. Instead of distributing entire packets, however, seeds will be divvied up to families by what they need/want into envelopes/baggies.
To summarize:

  *   2 Master Gardeners volunteers needed Friday, April 29
  *   When: 6:15 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
  *   What: distributing vegetable seeds and vegetable gardening information
  *   Where: Leal Elementary School, 312 W Oregon St, Urbana, IL 61801

  *   Dinner provided! Leal will be distributing sandwiches to volunteers!
