ILLINOIS HERB ASSOCIATION TO HOLD ANNUAL HERBFEST

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Herb Association is proud to announce the 2015 HerbFest, to be held September 26 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Allerton Park in Monticello, Ill.


The event will feature sessions hosted by a variety of speakers and will include several informational sessions, including " Making Cold Process Soap," "Landscaping with Herbs," "Tea Gardens," and a tour of Allerton Gardens, including Allerton's Official Illinois Herb Garden

There also will be several vendors at the HerbFest showcasing many different herbal and garden-related products.

"The annual HerbFest has moved from its early June timeframe to late September due to so many herbalists and gardeners being very busy in the early summer," said Deborah Niemann-Boehle, president, Illinois Herb Association. "We're really looking forward to attracting more growers and herbalists due to this schedule change."

The event is open to anyone wishing to learn more about growing or using herbs. Registration is $40 for Illinois Herb Association members and $45 for non-members. Pre-registration is due by September 16 and includes lunch; on-site registration will take place from 8:30 to 9:00 the day of the event but does not guarantee lunch.
